WTSF aims to address math and science competency in grades K-12 initially through pilot programs in the San Francisco Bay Area (2009-2011), and later expand state-wide (2012) and eventually, nationally. The long term goal is to work with all K-12 public school children in the US to achieve excellence in the disciplines of math and science.

Volunteers

The We Teach Science Foundation is actively recruiting mentors for the 2010-2011 school year. We are looking for professionals in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields to work with 8th grade Algebra students. The program is completely remote and only requires that you set aside one hour between 3 and 4pm on either: Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. You connect to the students via an online, audio-enabled white board. This is a fantastic volunteer opportunity for busy professionals!
