Bea's Kids is currently celebrating its 21st year of operation. We provide hundreds of Kindergarten through 12th grade students a safe, structured environment to receive afterschool assistance with homework, guidance on personal development issues, encouragement to read books, and the opportunity to practice self-discipline while building leadership skills.
We currently have four tutoring centers that are located within the apartment complexes where the children live, making it accessible for all to attend.
Our students are from low-income families. The majority of the students are Hispanic. All our students are first generation college bound.
As a non-profit, we operate on a small budget and with the assistance of many volunteers.
Our wish list includes books and other educational materials, technology equipment such as laptops, healthy snacks and cleaning equipment.
